Felix Mendelssohn

Strozzi

Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy was a German pianist, composer and conductor who had compositions that included forms of concertos, symphonies and piano and chamber music. Mendelssohn was seen to be a musical genius at a very younger age itself but wasn’t recognized so by his parents and did not use in advantage to capitalize the talent of his.
He is also prominently known to be the grandson of the philosopher, Moses Mendelssohn. He wrote sonatas, operas, fugues, concerti and symphonies for the string orchestra.
His most well received works include, the Italian Symphony, the oratorio Elijah, the Scottish Symphony, Songs Without Words, the String Octet, and the Christmas carol "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing".
