Barbara Strozzi is an Italian singer, violinist and composer that lived in the years on 1619-1677. She is known for her life being overshadowed for claims and cites that she was a courtesan. Being the brilliant composer that she is, she had composed over 8 volumes of musical pieces and had conquered it without the help of the Church. She had gained popularity because of her singing and composing in her young, teenage years. Her primary works, Il primo libro de’madrigali (“First Book of Madrigals”) had appeared in forms of print publication. Her voice and compositions stated to be highly prolific of the 17th Century.
It was also stated that her vocals are said to be exceptional with her well formed compositional talent and her works to this day remain well performed and known by many.
